Ideogram has published a comparison of seven AI tools for packaging, retail and CPG creative, testing its own platform on a fictional
LUMA sparkling-water product while reviewing Adobe, Pacdora, Sourceful, Packify, Photoroom and Typeface from their official documentation.
- The company says Ideogram is best for exploring packaging colors, finishes and campaign scenes while keeping label text readable, and that its Ideogram 4.5 model supports generation and editing for that work.
- In the walkthrough, a pale sage-green can with an ivory label kept four requested text elements — "LUMA," "SPARKLING WATER," "LIME" and "330 ml" — readable through a blue Colorways palette, a summer patio scene, a cream beaded Material Swap and a Studio headline.
- Ideogram describes Colorways as using target colors and region selection, and Precise Edit as editing a region at its original pixels while leaving the area outside that window untouched.
- Studio's Layerize Text creates editable text layers with controls for wording, typography and placement, and Ideogram Vector generates editable SVG artwork from prompts or existing images.
- Ideogram says its research team trains Custom Branded Models on a company's visual identity, catalog and design language, and that enterprise proposals can cover platform access, custom training and integrations.
