What is logged
Vercel hosts the site and keeps the request logs it needs to serve it — IP address, user-agent, that sort of thing. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights count visits without cookies. We also measure active time on stories, Chatter entries and the site as a whole to understand what readers find useful.
Reading analytics
The timer runs while this tab is visible and focused, and pauses after 60 seconds without pointer, touch, scrolling or keyboard activity. We send a page-visit identifier, a temporary visit identifier, public story or Chatter IDs, page types, timestamps and active-time totals. We do not send what you type, pointer positions, search terms or full URLs. Our analytics records do not store your IP address or a persistent reader identifier. A random visit ID in browser storage connects pages within a visit and changes after 30 minutes without activity. Reports contain aggregate counts and averages and are private to the operator.
Your choice
Reading analytics respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. You can also turn them off here; this choice is saved in this browser. This control applies to our reading timer, separately from Vercel's traffic and performance measurements.
Personalisation and testing
Personalisation signals and saved listening positions stay in your browser. train.forck.live is the editor's working copy, where impressions, opens and other interactions are recorded to tune the ranking. Training and test measurements are kept separate from public-reader analytics.
