Ideogram published a comparison of eight AI image generators for brand consistency, sorting the choice into trained models, references and brand controls based on what a team needs to repeat.
- The guide argues a trained model such as a fine-tune or LoRA suits a recurring style, character or product, while references guide a specific scene without a training cycle and brand controls address what people publish.
- Ideogram says its Custom Branded Models learn from products, characters, illustration styles, photography and brand imagery, and can also learn lettering styles for text-led campaigns.
- Self-service training accepts 15–100 images, requires reviewing captions, and trained models can be shared with colleagues in a Team space; the API path accepts 10–100 images instead.
- The post cites training documentation on the standard Ideogram 3.0 path showing a training cost of 4,000 credits, with Pro supporting personal-space training and Team supporting team-space training, and generation charged separately.
- It documents Skechers training Custom Branded Models for every product division to reflect each division's design DNA and aesthetic, which Skechers says brought quicker iteration, smarter sampling and less rework.
