Ideogram has published a comparison of eight AI product photography tools, built from vendor documentation and pricing pages plus images the company generated and edited itself.
- The guide frames the choice around where production gets stuck: Ideogram for product scenes, creative variations and brand-led campaigns, while Photoroom and Claid suit teams processing and standardizing large numbers of existing product photos, and fashion teams may need a specialist such as Botika.
- Ideogram's own batch generation accepts a spreadsheet of up to 500 prompt rows with up to four images per row, is available on Pro, Team and Enterprise plans, and works from prompts rather than a folder of existing product photos.
- Batch currently supports models through Ideogram 4.0 and compatible custom models, but not Ideogram 4.5.
- Ideogram Pro costs $42 per month billed annually, Enterprise pricing is custom, and API usage is billed separately; Photoroom lists $0.02 per image for its Remove Background API and $0.10 per image for its Image Editing API.
- The guide warns that rates change often and that self-service, API and enterprise contracts can be billed differently, so it advises requesting a quote based on expected volume.
- It also tells teams to check final images against the real item, especially color, labels, logos, stitching, proportions and materials, since a convincing variation can change a detail that matters to a customer.
