Ideogram published a comparison of eight creative automation platforms for brand and creative operations teams, tested against a campaign it ran itself and vendor documentation current as of October 2026.
- The guide splits the work into three jobs: generating and adapting visuals, producing variations from an approved design, and reviewing and delivering assets, and it tells teams to decide which job they need first.
- Ideogram is positioned for branded visuals, campaign adaptations and revisions, while Celtra, Storyteq and Bannerflow are shortlisted for producing many advertising or market versions from approved campaign systems.
- In its own test, Ideogram resized a fictional NORTHLINE travel bag ad from a square into portrait feed at 1080 × 1350, Story / Reel at 1080 × 1920 and billboard at 970 × 250, keeping the brand name, headline, supporting line and CTA.
- The company says Ad Resizer regenerates the layout for each size so text and key elements stay legible, and it recommends a supported platform safe zone to keep the ad inside its placement area.
- Layout rules in approved designs determine what can change and how content fits different dimensions, which is why the guide points to a template engine when design rules are settled and a visual production tool when the imagery itself must change.
- The post also covers Ideogram's enterprise options, including Custom Branded Models trained on a company's visual identity, Ad Localizer for rebuilding ads in another language, and batch generation supporting up to 500 prompt rows with compatible models.
