- General Services Administration expanded their OneGov agreement on October 27, 2026, giving government buyers a 40% consumption-based discount on Claude and opening eligibility to state, local, tribal and territorial governments.
- The discount covers Claude Enterprise, Claude for Government and the Claude API, and Anthropic said it applies across every product surface for the first time, including direct purchases and, in the coming months, purchases through cloud providers.
- GSA described the pricing as a 40% discount on token-based usage across all Claude models available to the government, including FedRAMP-authorized environments for sensitive unclassified work, with no minimum orders and payment only for usage consumed.
- Eligibility covers federal buyers in the executive, legislative and judicial branches plus state, local and tribal governments, with ordering available directly, through resellers and on major cloud platforms; Anthropic also names territorial governments and GSA's Multiple Award Schedule.
- GSA said the OneGov strategy has generated more than $1.8 billion in savings since its inception, including approximately $1.6 billion through its super intelligence agreements, while Anthropic separately estimated the discounts will save the government $1 billion.
- Anthropic reported that approximately 500 US federal, state and local government organizations use Claude, with weekly Claude for Government active users up about eightfold since February 2026 and usage across federal civilian agencies up about 20-fold in a year.
- The agreement succeeds the original OneGov offer announced on August 12, 2025 at a nominal fee of $1 per agency for up to a full year, which GSA listed as expiring on October 31, 2026.
