GitHub Copilot is now usable inside Xcode's built-in coding assistant, giving developers a way to work with Copilot without leaving their native Xcode workflow.
- The integration is in public preview and requires Xcode 27.3 beta, which is available from
Apple Developer Downloads.
- It runs on a Mac with macOS Tahoe 26.6 or later, and setup happens under Xcode's Settings, in the Intelligence section.
- GitHub says all Copilot plans are supported, and the existing GitHub Copilot for Xcode extension remains a separate option for developers who prefer it.
- GitHub is asking users to send feedback through the GitHub Copilot for Xcode repository or Apple Feedback Assistant.
