Evernote used ChatGPT Ads to reach people already working with AI and tracked those new users from free trial through to a first subscription payment.
- The company's core campaigns, built around a single product feature, converted free trials to paid subscriptions at a rate about 10–20% higher than its historical paid-acquisition average earlier this year, though the comparison does not establish incremental lift.
- In the first month, around 25% of desktop visits from those campaigns produced a new Evernote account, according to Evernote's own web analytics and subscription records.
- Evernote says it is treating the first-month results as encouraging and directional while it tests whether the performance holds as the channel grows.
- The team plans to explore additional use cases and build creative and dedicated landing pages showing how Evernote fits into people's work.
