Cohere is adding open models, both its own and others', to Model Vault, the sovereign inference platform it launched in January.
- The company says the expansion is meant to widen access to open models, arguing that "when more people can access open models, everybody wins."
- Model Vault runs models on single tenant infrastructure that belongs to the customer's workloads, with no shared GPUs, neighboring tenants or infrastructure management.
- A Model Vault Encrypted option protects data in use as well as at rest and in transit, so that, according to Cohere, "nobody can see what you send to the model - not even us."
- Cohere did not say which open models are being added or when they become available.
