Anthropic is making the unified Claude experience generally available for Claude Enterprise plans, after bringing chat and Cowork together for Pro and Max plans in September.
- Chat and Cowork are now one Claude on web, desktop, and mobile, so a conversation can start as a quick question and continue as agentic work that runs code or handles files in a cloud environment Anthropic manages.
- Because that work runs in the cloud, it keeps going after someone closes their laptop and can be picked up on any device, with chats, projects, connectors, skills, and plugins carrying over.
- Admins control access by role and manage usage with a new Efficient mode, which keeps the unified experience on Sonnet and Haiku models, alongside model entitlements and spend limits at the organization, group, and member level.
- Anthropic says Claude Enterprise pricing stays usage-based, and that Claude Opus 5.5 costs 40% less to run than Claude Opus 5 on typical workloads while Claude Sonnet 5.5 costs up to 30% less than Claude Sonnet 5 for most work.
- Agentic work runs in isolated virtual machines with network egress off by default and connector credentials kept outside the sandbox, building on existing SSO and Compliance API controls.
- Organizations using zero data retention for Claude Code, a HIPAA-ready configuration, or customer-managed encryption keys stay on their current configuration.
