Google DeepMind is rolling out Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash and making it generally available across the Gemini API and Gemini for business, with native 15-second video generation and a 30% price cut from Gemini Omni 1.1.
- The model generates and edits clips natively up to 15 seconds, up from 10 seconds with Omni 1.1, and duration can be set in one-second increments from 3 to 15 seconds.
- Google says the price is now $0.07 per second for 720p video, and that users can draft at 360p or 720p, fix details with follow-up edits instead of regenerating, then upscale to 1080p or 4K.
- Reference adherence is stronger: character, product or style images, motion clips up to three seconds and audio cues can be combined, with faces, garments, packaging typography and brand colors held consistent across camera angles.
- Multi-turn conversational editing lets users swap a product, background, lighting, weather or aspect ratio across full 15-second clips, and Google says speech is more natural with clearer lip-sync and distinct multi-speaker conditioning.
- Google also says the model produces fewer unwanted jump cuts and steadier scale in continuous camera moves, and that Gemini Omni is now generally available for the first time.
