Ideogram has published a comparison of six free background remover tools, naming its own background remover as its first pick for regular cutout work.
- The test uploaded the same 2048 × 2048 furniture image to Ideogram, Pixelcut, Adobe Firefly and Photoroom, and all four returned 2048 × 2048 transparent downloads.
- Ideogram's cutout kept the chair, table, books, lamp stem, base and trailing cord, details that Pixelcut and Firefly partly removed, and the downloaded PNG carried no visible watermark.
- Ideogram says eligible free accounts receive 30 credits each week, with background removal costing one credit in the test and no separate export charge.
- Its terms permit commercial use of outputs without a paid plan, provided the user holds the necessary rights to the source image.
- Pixelcut required sign-in for full resolution, and the post notes that free allowances and account requirements vary across the six tools.
