Stories travel by voice - through radio, through the telenovela, through the friend who retells a book better than the author wrote it.
Yet most Brazilian books have never had an audio edition at all.
Today, that starts to change.
ElevenReader, our consumer audio platform that transforms written content into listening experiences users love, launches in Brazil.
We’re starting with a familiar voice to most Brazilians, Fábio Porchat.
You can pick a novel from our catalog, drop in a PDF for work or paste a link to an article and hear it in the famous actor and comedian’s voice.
"There are books we've wanted to read for years, but life keeps going and the time never appears.
Now you can listen on the way to work, while tidying the house, or when your eyes are already tired.
I'm happy to be part of ElevenReader so that stories reach people in whatever way makes the most sense to them," said Fábio Porchat.
We’ve partnered with Bookwire Brasil to bring 70,000 licensed Brazilian Portuguese titles from the country’s leading publishers into the app.
Most of these have no audio edition, and without ElevenReader, never would.
