Legora has raised a $550 million Series E at an $8.8 billion post-money valuation, led by Atreides Management, to fund US and international expansion and deeper investment in its agentic operating system for legal work.
- The round drew new investors including Baron Capital, Capital Group, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Glade Brook Capital Partners and J.P Morgan, and every major existing investor also participated.
- Legora says it went from $1 million to $100 million in ARR in less than 18 months, faster than any other enterprise software company selling through a direct sales team, and the next $100 million took less than six months; ARR now stands at more than $200 million.
- The new valuation compares with $5.6 billion at the company's previous round.
- In-house legal teams, a small fraction of the customer base a year ago, made up more than 40% of new customers in the third quarter, and in the United States, now Legora's largest market by revenue, more than half of the AmLaw 50 are customers.
- The capital will support North American expansion and work on new products such as agentic in-take, horizon scanning and legal research; Legora was founded in 2023, launched its platform in October 2024, and now has more than 1,000 employees across 18 offices.
