Jones Day has entered a strategic AI partnership with Legora, giving lawyers across its global offices access to the legal platform and a role in shaping a forthcoming research product.
- The firm, a single integrated partnership of more than 2,500 lawyers in 40 offices, will roll access out over the coming months after evaluating how Legora could help its lawyers work day-to-day.
- As part of the deal, Jones Day becomes a design partner for Legora's ontological legal research product, helping shape it before release.
- The two organizations will also run a structured learning and development program with Professor Dan Hunter of King's College London, intended to deepen AI capability across the firm and with clients.
- Giles Elliott, Jones Day's Global Chair of AI and Innovation, said the firm is exploring ways to combine lawyers' relationships, judgment and experience with AI advances.
- Legora chief executive Max Junestrand said the work will focus on adoption across Jones Day's global offices and integration into complex litigation and transactional work.
