Cadence cut the median time to reach a patient after an out-of-range vital from 1 hour and 48 minutes to 3.5 minutes using ElevenAgents, according to a webinar with ElevenLabs.
- The agent monitors incoming vitals, calls the patient when a reading falls out of range, runs a symptom screen, and either escalates to a nurse or closes the alert.
- Cadence's Rachel Wang said the design assumes the agent will sometimes be wrong, so "not sure" counts as not cleared and the alert cannot be resolved, and the agent over-escalates to a nurse rather than missing a critical issue.
- Answer rates on critical calls rose from 41% to 60%, and patients answer the agent 47% more often than human callers.
- The session also covered a remote patient monitoring demo with identity verification, escalation, post-call analysis and simulation tests, plus practices such as limiting the agent to the protected health information it needs and enforcing authorization checks in code.
