Perplexity Enterprise has achieved FedRAMP Class C (Moderate) certification, letting federal teams run live web search and get source-cited answers inside a certified environment.
- Perplexity says it is now the only FedRAMP Moderate SI service with live web search, so agencies can research current policy and procurement questions without leaving the boundary.
- The certified SaaS is available to federal agencies through GSA's Multiple Award Schedule for direct procurement, to state, local and education customers through authorized resellers, and to government contractors directly.
- Perplexity says a government user's query is never shared with an outside search provider, and requests identified as coming from U.S. government agencies get zero data usage protections, so the data is not retained for training, improving or evaluating models.
- Administrators can manage sign-in through their agency's identity provider, restrict external sharing and file actions, control connector access, configure session retention and send audit logs to a designated endpoint.
- The certification was independently assessed by 360 Advanced, and federal agencies can get Enterprise Pro for Government through GSA's OneGov offer for $0.25 per agency through March 31, 2027.
