Harvey built the Harvey Intake artifact for
Anthropic's Claude for Legal release, connecting business users in Claude to the legal team in Harvey.
- The artifact is a ready-to-use artifact in Claude that legal teams can share with the business, giving employees a place to ask legal questions, submit requests, and track responses.
- It connects to Harvey through Harvey's MCP server, so routine questions are answered using Legal's guidance, playbooks, and prior work in Harvey, while requests that need legal judgment are routed to a lawyer in Harvey with responses returned to the requester in Claude.
- Every request is logged in Intake, where Legal can set assignment rules, track progress, and triage incoming work, and requesters can check status and follow up within Claude.
- Harvey says business teams already bring their questions to Claude, and when those questions get a general answer instead of reaching the legal team, Legal loses visibility and control.
