NVIDIA has gathered more than 2,000 simulation-ready OpenUSD assets into SimReady Central Library on
Hugging Face, giving developers a free, ungated starting point for physical AI training environments and AI factory digital twins.
- The problem it answers is that a detailed 3D model such as CAD is only a starting point: simulation also needs properties like collision geometry, mass and friction, which developers otherwise add by hand.
- The library spans robot arms and grippers, warehouse equipment, racks and cooling infrastructure, and developers can check which capabilities each asset supports before combining assets from different suppliers into one scene.
- Equipment manufacturers can now prepare and validate assets against SimReady requirements and publish them to the library, reaching developers whose end customers test and simulate scenarios faster; Vertiv, Comau, FANUC, Franka Robotics, Robotiq, Standard Bots, Universal Robots, LG Electronics, ForgeCAD and Palatial are named as contributors.
- SimReady Foundation supplies the specifications, profiles and validation tools that make those requirements explicit, and OEMs submit assets through the SimReady Central submission skill.
