70B open-source model tops HuggingFace leaderboard, beats GPT-3.5
New model
Upstage released a 70-billion-parameter language model that achieved an average score of 72.3 on the HuggingFace Open LLM Leaderboard, surpassing GPT-3.5's score of 71.9 and claiming the top spot.
The model was fine-tuned with LLaMA 2 and trained with 70 billion parameters, outperforming the previous leader, 
Stability AI's Stable Beluga 2 (71.4).
This marks the first time an open-source model has outperformed a global tech giant's model on this benchmark.
