LG AI Research held a best practice sharing meeting for its AI Advanced Problem-Solving Course and the 4th LG AI Hackathon Awards Ceremony on August 31.
The 12-week course paired 12 LG employees with LG AI Research mentors to solve business problems; the winning demand forecasting model achieved 85% accuracy, a 20–25 percentage point improvement over existing models.
The hackathon, organized with Dacon, attracted 1,101 teams competing to develop AI models that remove glare from photos for under-display camera technology, with winners receiving KRW 10 million and job application benefits.
