LG AI Research opened the LG AI Research Center, Ann Arbor, in Michigan on March 22, its first global AI research base in North America, led by Chief Scientist Honglak Lee.
The center will advance AI research in areas such as deep reinforcement learning, 3D scene understanding, and reasoning with large-scale language models, supported by agreements with the University of Michigan.
LG AI Research plans to expand industry-academic cooperation and recruit North American AI talent to strengthen its global research ecosystem.
