Replit launched Monitoring Agent, an autonomous on-call engineer that can investigate production alerts, identify the cause, validate a fix and deploy it for apps published on Replit.
- The company says the agent gives every internal app builder and entrepreneur the kind of production response that at a large company would fall to a paged on-call engineer.
- Monitoring Agent can read production logs and metrics, so it can investigate errors, slowdowns and failed deployments without the creator digging through logs.
- With alerting and autofix enabled, it is notified when an issue occurs, investigates the cause, validates a fix and emails a summary of what happened.
- With auto-publish enabled, it can deploy a validated fix and report back on what changed, and Replit says the user decides whether fixes are published automatically.
- The agent follows App Monitoring, which Replit launched earlier this year to give production health checks and alerts when a published app went down; Replit says the new agent closes the loop by making the fix as well.
- To get started, users publish an app, open its Publishing settings and enable intelligent autofix alerting.
