Google DeepMind has made Gemini Nano Banana 2.1 generally available, updating its high-efficiency image generation and conversational editing model.
- The new model keeps Flash-level speed and cost efficiency while improving visual quality, prompt adherence, multi-turn character consistency and text rendering.
- It also adds support for wide and panoramic aspect ratios (1:4, 4:1, 1:8, 8:1) across 1K, 2K and 4K resolutions.
- The model is available now through the Gemini API, with an image generation guide to help developers get started.
