LG Group announced the establishment of LG AI Research, an AI think tank, on December 7.
The organization will study AI source technologies such as voice and image recognition, language processing, and data intelligence, and will collaborate with global research institutes.
LG also appointed Honglak Lee, a University of Michigan professor and former Google Brain researcher, as Chief Scientist of AI.
