Proposal for EU KIDS Act - 'EU Keeping Internet Digital Spaces Accountable and Trustworthy'
European Commission
Official summary
This proposal seeks to protect minors from risky digital services and AI systems, uphold the digital single market and maintain a coherent regulatory framework and enforcement structure for the protection of minors online. The proposal recognises the risks that minors face on certain online social networking services and video-sharing platforms and therefore limits autonomous account creation on those specific platforms and systems by children below the age of 15 years.
