Meta introduced Facebook Verified, a free badge that uses a selfie-based process to confirm a profile belongs to a real person.
The badge appears on Marketplace, Dating, Groups, and Profile, with plans to expand to Feed posts.
It is available to eligible users 18 and older in select markets, with a global rollout planned.
