Automating the Search for Artificial Life with Foundation Models

Sakana AI, in collaboration with MIT, OpenAI, The Swiss AI Lab IDSIA, and Ken Stanley, announced a research paper titled 'Automating the Search for Artificial Life with Foundation Models', which proposes a new algorithm called Automated Search for Artificial Life (ASAL) that uses vision-language foundation models to automatically discover artificial life simulations.
