Smart Cellular Bricks: Towards Collective Intelligence for the Physical World

Sakana AI announces that a paper extending their collective intelligence research into physical hardware has been accepted for publication in Nature Communications. The paper describes a system of hundreds of physical 3D cellular bricks that run identical local Neural Cellular Automata without any global knowledge and collaboratively infer their overall shape class.
