Introducing Branching 2.0

Removes Git requirement for creating preview branches

Supabase announced Branching 2.0, which removes the previous requirement to connect a GitHub repository to create preview branches.

Users can now create branches directly through the dashboard, CLI, or Management API, with or without Git.

The update is in early stages and available as a feature preview.

With these new updates you can now create branches with Git, without Git, or a combination of both. This can be done directly through the dashboard, Supabase CLI, or the Management API.
