Supabase is acquiring Turso, a company that rebuilt SQLite in Rust and built a cloud platform capable of managing millions of databases on a single server.
The acquisition aims to evolve database infrastructure to support the scale of AI agents creating databases.
Supabase will continue building around Postgres, Turso will continue its work on SQLite, and together they plan to create a new offering that brings the Supabase experience to every agent.
