Shipping Media Over QUIC at Meta Scale for Instagram Live Ingest

Meta has begun deploying Media over QUIC (MoQ), an emerging open protocol for real-time video streaming, for Instagram Live ingest on iOS and Android.

MoQ is designed to simplify Meta's protocol stack for live streaming and improve latency and resilience.

The deployment replaces Meta's in-house RUSH protocol and is the first large-scale use of MoQ at Meta.
