Meta extends Private Processing to AI Glasses for cloud-based AI with encrypted data

Meta is extending its Private Processing confidential computing infrastructure to Meta AI Glasses, enabling the glasses to offload intensive AI workloads to cloud data centers while keeping user data encrypted and inaccessible to Meta.

The system uses trusted execution environments (TEEs) in CPUs and GPUs to process personal context at scale while maintaining data confidentiality, integrity, and code integrity.

Private Processing is Meta's confidential computing infrastructure, built on TEEs with verifiable transparency. On top of the confidentiality and attestation the hardware provides, it adds non-targetability and encrypted storage.
