Meta announced Meta VR Glasses, a lightweight VR device weighing approximately 100 grams featuring a 5K Infinite Display, Qualcomm Snapdragon Reality Elite processor, and a separate battery puck.

The device will launch in Spring 2027 and includes partnerships with Disney+, ESPN, and other media platforms for 3D content and immersive sports viewing, as well as hologram calling technology.

Meta VR Glasses are five times lighter than Meta Quest 3, primarily because of their two-part system. The VR Glasses handle the sensors and display, while the puck, connected by an optical tether, handles compute, battery, and storage, and conveniently clips to your pocket or bag.
