Introducing MAI-Voice-2 | Microsoft AI

New model

Microsoft AI launched MAI-Voice-2, a text-to-speech model supporting 15 languages with granular emotion control, zero-shot voice prompting, and code-switching capabilities.

The model is preferred over its predecessor 72% of the time and is now available in Microsoft Foundry, with integration into VSCode and Dynamics 365 Contact Center.

In side-by-side preference tests, it was preferred over its predecessors 72% of the time. In speaker similarity evaluations, speech generated by MAI-Voice-2 is indistinguishable from recordings of the same voice.
