The Mythos 5.5 mention is not present in the October 23 snapshot, so it was likely added in the last few days, suggesting a release could be imminent.
Anthropic previously restricted Mythos 5.1 to verified cybersecurity and life sciences researchers, while Fable 5.1 offered the same underlying model with additional safeguards for general use, so Mythos 5.5 may initially remain exclusive to selected cyber defenders.
Earlier Mythos announcements also triggered sell-offs among cybersecurity stocks as investors questioned the impact.
