Official summary

The AI Act gives providers the possibility to develop, train, validate and test their innovative AI systems for a limited time under regulatory supervision in a controlled framework set up by a competent authority. AI regulatory sandboxes help achieve the AI Act’s objective to foster innovation and support compliance. This implementing act sets out the rules for the set-up and operation of AI regulatory sandboxes.
