Remote Perplexity MCP server now supports OAuth sign-in instead of API keys
Perplexity's remote MCP server now supports OAuth authentication, allowing users to sign in with their Perplexity account instead of pasting an API key.
The feature works with MCP clients that support OAuth, such as claude.ai, Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code.
API keys remain available for clients without OAuth support.
