State of the Art Speech Recognition with MAI-Transcribe-1

Microsoft AI announced MAI-Transcribe-1, a multilingual speech-to-text model that achieves the lowest Word Error Rate on FLEURS across 25 languages, delivers batch transcription 2.5x faster than the current Azure Fast offering, and is priced at $0.36 per hour of audio. The model is now in public preview on Microsoft Foundry and is being rolled out to Copilot Voice mode and Microsoft Teams.
