A team from Nanjing University has developed the BioChargeDAC system, a 'mechanical forest' that captures CO₂ using charged biochar and clean energy. With support from Tencent's CarbonX program, the system is being prepared for deployment in Kenya, aiming for scalable and permanent carbon removal.
