Amp, Rebuilt

Amp released a rebuilt version of its CLI, codenamed Neo, featuring remote control, automatic context compaction, a plugin API, message queuing and steering, and a change to default permissions. The update is designed for longer-running agent tasks and compatibility with frontier models.

So we rebuilt the CLI first. It is still Amp in your terminal. But it's running on a completely new architecture: remote-controllable, compaction-first, plugin-powered, and much faster.
