Amazon announced the Agentic Data Operations Platform (ADOP), a reference architecture on AWS that uses AI agents to accelerate data engineering from weeks to hours. ADOP is a build-time accelerator that generates deterministic pipeline artifacts in development environments using Amazon Bedrock and AI coding tools like Claude Code, Kiro, Cursor, and Codex. It automates the Bronze to Silver to Gold lifecycle with built-in compliance controls, and production runs deterministic code without model calls unless extended.
