Harvey says international law firm Spencer West has selected its legal AI platform for a firmwide rollout covering more than 360 partners across 25 jurisdictions, after a pilot and a broader review of the legal AI market.
- The rollout is already underway and supports lawyers on corporate, litigation and cross-border matters, including researching legal questions, preparing drafts, analysing contracts and reviewing documents.
- Spencer West's decision rested on the range of work Harvey can support, research adapted to particular jurisdictions, assistance for a global practice, and security and governance built for the platform.
- Peter Reeve, Harvey's UK country leader, said partners spent less time on labour-intensive tasks during the trial and gave more attention to advising clients strategically.
- Senior partner and co-founder Simeon Spencer said the firm sees AI's potential as broader than efficiency, expecting it to help lawyers strengthen client relationships, anticipate new challenges and apply their expertise to more international business issues.
- Reeve said the firm's entrepreneurial structure and commercially minded lawyers give it a solid foundation for integrating AI, and Harvey is intended to help it serve clients across jurisdictions and widen the scope of its work.
