Cognition has opened a new London office at The Gilbert in Finsbury Square and is hiring across customer engagement, engineering, R&D, partnerships and go-to-market, after its UK team grew by more than 200% in six months.
- The company says UK demand has grown faster than it planned for, with banks, financial institutions and software companies across the region moving AI software engineering into production.
- The Access Group has deployed Devin to more than 2,000 engineers across 250 products, which Cognition says contributed to a fivefold increase in merged pull requests and sped up certain legacy migration tasks by up to 480 times.
- Cognition is adding three senior leaders: Narry Singh as Senior Managing Director, Aman Thind as Field CTO, and Katrin Lehmann, former global CIO of Mercedes-Benz.
- Singh will work with CEOs, CFOs and boards on AI adoption decisions, Thind will focus on financial services, and Lehmann will work with enterprise technology leaders across Europe.
- The London office is part of a broader year of growth that included raising more than $2 billion at a $48 billion valuation in September and announcing SWE-2, which Cognition calls its most advanced coding model to date.
