Understanding the brain with AI-driven explanations and experiments
Research paper
Microsoft Research, in collaboration with UC Berkeley, UCSF, and Columbia University, published a paper in Nature Neuroscience introducing generative causal testing (GCT), a framework that distills black-box brain-prediction models into testable verbal explanations and validates them with fMRI experiments.
