Vercel WAF upgrade brings persistent actions, rate limiting, and API control

Vercel announced enhancements to its Web Application Firewall (WAF), including persistent actions that block repeat offenders for a customizable duration, rate limiting for specific endpoints to prevent API abuse, and a Firewall API for programmatic control of WAF settings.

• The Challenge page feature, previously exclusive to the WAF, is now extended to the broader Vercel Firewall.
• The WAF propagates rules globally in 300 milliseconds.
