Optimizing Vercel Sandbox snapshots

Vercel reduces snapshot restore time from 40s to sub-second

Vercel optimized filesystem snapshot restores in Vercel Sandbox, reducing p75 restore time from over 40 seconds to under one second through parallelization and local caching.

The optimizations also power Automatic Persistence, now in beta, which automatically snapshots and restores filesystems on stop and resume.

From the source
p75 dropped from 40s to sub-second, and p95 went from 50s to 5s.
