Vercel built a software factory called ai-sdk-factory to autonomously process incoming issues and pull requests for the AI SDK.

The factory uses dedicated agents for each task, such as bug reproduction, fixes, and PR reviews, while keeping a human in control of merging every change.

After four weeks, the factory authored 25–35% of merged PRs and closed 70–80% of issues.
