Google Cloud made Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar generally available in Gemini Enterprise for enterprise production.
The feature adds conversational video avatars with synchronized lip-syncing, native speech-to-speech dialogue, tool calling, multilingual support across 97 languages, and live visual understanding.
It is available with US and EU endpoints, provisioned throughput, enterprise compliance, and data governance; custom avatar creation is gated behind an allowlist and all generated streams carry SynthID watermarks.
