Gemini 3.8 Flash rolling out three weeks after last release

Google released Gemini 3.8 Flash, the third Flash update in three months, with improvements over 3.7 Flash in software engineering, agentic tasks, and multi-step reasoning.

• The model outperforms larger frontier models on the DeepSWE v1.1 benchmark and achieves a 54.9% on HLE-Verified.
• Google also announced Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber for trusted testers, which produced 2.6 times more correct patches to Chrome vulnerabilities than larger commercial models.
